Leslie has some last minute gift ideas for you, using Eileen Hull's fab Passport die.Just a quick post for this hectic month! I have created two little journals using the Eileen Hull Passport Die after seeing so many creative projects using it. These little booklets I have made will be stocking stuffers for two special young ladies to record their Christmas 2017 memories, pictures and recipes. (And just maybe, I'll get the new Eileen Hull Journal Die in my stocking...although I've been told 'coal' is more likely.)
After cutting my front and back covers and spine, I cut divider pages from cardstock and the other pages from heavy paper to create 3 signatures of 6 pages each. Setting the signatures aside, I pressure embossed the covers using a snowflake folder (green journal) and a paisley-pattern folder (blue journal).
Color was next. I'm not a traditional 'Red and Green' Christmas person so I chose a palette of Blues and Greens with a little Rust thrown in (I can't help myself when it comes to rust) using Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays.
The wood snowflake embellishments were gessoed and treated as follows:
Green Journal: Crackle Paste, LSG Sprays, rhinestones, screw head and white gesso highlights
Blue Journal: LSG Sprays, white gesso, LSG Embossing Powder, silver thread and a wood plug
Please visit Eileen Hull's video for details on cutting, assembling and binding her mini albums.
As always, thanks for stopping by.
