Ice Princess by Erica Evans

Erica shows you how to make this fabulous Christmas card from the Rubber Dance stamp set designed by Debs Wainwright.

I absolutely love this stamp set from Rubber Dance and I thought she would be perfect for a Christmas card as an Ice Princess!
I stamped her out three times onto white card, coloured them in with Distress Oxide ink in Salty Ocean, and then cut out the hair parts of two of them (these will be her 'hair extensions'!)
I also dug out my old punches and found some snowflakes and stars, these will cover the flowers on the stamp and make her more wintry.
For the background I covered a piece of white card in clear gesso. When dry I brayered on Distress Oxide ink in Peacock Feathers.
Then using a wet wipe I placed a stencil on the surface and wiped the ink away (please excuse the dirty stencil!)
Using the same colour I then added another layer with a snowflake stencil.
To soften the effect, I spattered on some water.
Now my background was complete it was just a case of assembling the pieces.
As it is Christmas, I had to add some bling! I went to town with this - Gems and glitter glue added lots of sparkle. It is a shame but the photos do not quite capture how sparkly she is.
To finish off I added extra ink around her to make her stand out and a Christmas sentiment (a die cut that I made silver with gilding wax)
Hope you enjoyed my little project!
